You can purchase sunflower seeds in the shell or shelled. If eating them with the shell,scoot the seeds to the rear of your mouth and split the shell with your back
Spit out the shell and enjoy the seeds.You  eat them  raw.The kernels can be eaten raw after hulling the outer shells.You can also roast and have them salted or plain.They can be added in your desserts or smoothies,you can also sprinkle them over a salad muesli,porridge or even as energetic snack before your workout
